Is love really a game?

I had some people telling me things that seem to be, in a way, that it is just a game. You pick up pointers during the game and prolly with these pointers and go ahead to win the game?

A colleague recently asked me this question:

Why don't you have a girlfriend?

My reply:

Haven't met someone that i like leh.

His reply:

Just see who u have even the slightest interest in and just try la!

My shocked reply:

Huh, like that also can meh.

His nonchalant reply:

Can... even if it doesn't work out, treat it as experience loh!

Me:

Gee, i think i must be a dinosaur from the 70's (no offence to any old chaps from that particular era reading this) ***Chuckles*** for thinking that falling in love is like "WHAM"! Love at first sight? Heh. Old dinosaur hehehehehe. =x

If its really a game, i think i would suck at it, tried it and it didn't work, prolly its just me though lol. Dun think i'm really that kind of person who just like, anyone to "kio lap sap" (no offence again to anyone!! if u think i'm talking about you, do not think!! its not you!! OR YOU!! YOU NEITHER!! NOPE NOT YOU TOO - so on, and so forth).

However, i guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, just my pride. Who knows, the next one, might just be the one!

Something to ponder:

Did "agony friend" really see his "love interest" snatched away by the "very friend he confides in"? Would "agony friend" remain quiet if the purported "love interest" was still, his "love interest"?

What would you do in this situation? I know what i would do.
