WOW!
EARTHQUAKES!!!
I have lived for so long, yet i'm feeling them only now, in all my 24 years!
7.30pm
I was @ home sitting in front of the computer when i noticed my seat was shaking forwards and backwards. I put my feet down on the floor and noticed that the chair immediately stopped shaking. I wondered wat had happened when i noticed my monitor was shaking... My bike alarm rang without anyone near it, i guessed that it was shaking there too...
Thats when i realised... EARTHQUAKE!!!!
I ran into the living room to tell my mum who was still oblivious to the shaking and alerted her to it. It was only after that she realised that the whole building was swaying. Looking over at the tv i noticed my fan was shaking... wow... I then ran to my room to get my phone to film the fan shaking but could not really catch the motion as i was shaking as well.
7.40pm
The shaking has stopped but i still felt dizzy. My mum had begun calling our relatives and friends to find out if they felt the tremors. I, on the other hand, have started msn-ing online ppl to find out if they felt it too. AMK, Serangoon, Hougang, Sengkang all felt it whereas Bukit Merah and Tampines did not.
7.50pm
Turned on the news and they were already reporting the earthquakes. Found out that there were not one but two earthquakes measuring 8 & 7.9 respectively on the richter scale near Sumatra. There was a tsunami alert out as well. Hope there are not much victims near the epi-centre. Still felt abit dizzy, but the tremors have definitely stopped.
This has been a most interesting experience for me as i have only experienced it for the very first time in my life. However, i pray that it would be the last for a very long time as earthquakes like this costs life and destruction.
With this, i conclude my first experience with an earthquake.
Goodnight!
