Its another long time since i've blogged... nothing really interesting to blog about, been relaxing at the same old places with the same old people. Not that i'm complaining though. I much prefer this kind of relaxation though. Perhaps it comes with the "age" i am at and the "average age" of the group i'm hanging out with. Life is the way (mostly) as i want it to be now.
Work has been slow recently, with the last job to last the month before any new ones come in, so we have to do things "sparingly"... However, as i've mentioned in the previous post, conversion to perm staff is coming soon as we have already went for the pre-employment checkup at the company designated clinic. If everything is "A-OK" (which i do not foresee to have any problems), we should have our conversion by June. The basic pay will be increased by a little bit due to my qualifications but with the addition of various allowances and a little bit of OT, the pay should enable me to live quite comfortably (not extravagantly of course, but at least i wun starve =P).
Conversion would also mean that i would be able to start my studies (part-time) soon. Still in a dilemma though, should i take up the 5 year part-time diploma at SP - Dip in Mechanical Engineering (convertable to Aeronautical Engineering in year 3), or the 3 year part-time Diploma in Technology majoring in Aerospace? Both courses has its pros and cons, I will be able to get into the SP course with no problems and it bypasses half of the official CAAS papers which would help a long way for me to become an Aircraft Engineer. The only cons is that its too long... 5 years. The course at NP however, although its only 3 years, i foresee that it will be freeking congested (a la crash course?). Furthermore it requires 3 years of relevant working experience (WTF!!!)... I'm leaning more towards the 3 year course as its shorter but the 3 year relevant work experience will be a stumbling block... will be emailing them if they can do a special dispension for me since i can meet all their entry requirements except the working experience part. Hopefully i can receive a favorable reply.
Deviating away from the main subject, juz wanna say,
