Saturday 17th May 2008
Woke up a couple of hours later to go fishing with Aidil, met him around 8, had our breakfast, got all our barang barang ready and headed to the fishing spot @ the inner sanctuaries of Yishun Dam. Was quite surprised that i had to go "off-road" to reach the fishing spot (something which a Sportsbike that is clean, sexy and souped up should never have to do - HEARTPAIN T_T), wanted to turn back immediately but i did not want to waste the money and effort so i went in anyway.
The road inwards was super dusty, muddy and bumpy from all the roadworks that were going on (not tarmac road). When we finally found a place to fish, i was starting to have a really bad headache and was having giddy spells but as i did not want to disappoint Aidil so i persevered on.
We caught pretty much nothing as our live prawn kept getting eaten but no fish was hooked. Aidil would later learn that the "good spot" further in. I was already hurting pretty badly from the headache made worst by the heat from the midday sun. It was 12pm. Having learnt that the spot was somewhere we had passed by earlier (further inwards which we thought was barred from entry), he kept whining about going there even though i was quite ready to give up (due to the headache of course). As his incessant whining was making my headache worse, we packed up and left the shady enclave for the rumored "good spot".
NO Entry, NO Fishing! (but we went in anyway)
First off-road sportsbike...
The cool and shady enclave we found
Aidil showing me the ropes... erm... rods...
All set up and ready
Casting the line... (The shot looks damn professional ya)
The good spot was actually a makeshift pier for sand-carrying barges to come in and deposit sand and gravel for the construction that was going on. However, the place did not have any shade as there were totally no trees and the only place with shade was across a deep (and wide) canal heading out into the sea. I was already feeling bloody bad at the point of time that i had to tell Aidil that we had to go while i still can ride. After making him see my point and offering to pay for all the things we bought for the trip, we headed home (finally). The trip home was really tough, the bumpy road was killing me and there were a couple of times which i almost lost control on the sand/mud. Luckily, both of us made it home safely.
The "good spot"
Popped a couple of panadol pills when i reached home and immediately went to sleep. Woke up 7 hours later to the "chanting" (read - nagging) by the mother. Climbed groggily out of bed as i remembered that today was to be the "belated-mother's day" dinner @ the Heavenly Crab Party opposite my place.
There was quite abit of people ther already when we walked there, and the food took its bloody time too. I was still feeling the effects of the headache earlier in the day so i was not really hungry. We ordered grouper (800g), one sri lankan chilli crab (1.3kg), broccoli with scallops and pork ribs. The grouper and the pork ribs were a teeny weeny abit too salty for my taste although both were quite fragrant. The broccoli with scallops were quite normal. The main dish however, was abit disappointing as although it was well cooked, it was not spicy enough for either me or my mum. Good effort though. Might go back and try the other flavors of crabs on the menu. Spent about 138 bucks for 3 persons. The most expensive dish was the fish - 55 bucks per kg. The crab was only $3.80 per 100g.
Went home to change and met up with Dave, Roland, Matthew and Kai @ Starbucks Suntec. TCSSed abit after which we left for Pebble Bay (Tanjong Rhu). Just as i was about to leave suntec, received a call from Enyao and Vivian that they were at nearby Marina SQ and promptly asked them along. Tried out Enyao's brother's Suzuki Swift in a lap of Pebble Bay that sent Vivi "sliding" across the back seat. =D The others left for home a couple of hours later while me, Enyao and Vivi went to 126 at Geylang for some supper before leaving for home.

Sunday 18th May 2008
Woke up ard 2pm and slacked till 5+ before heading to Turf City to watch Kai race his RC buggy there. He was quite upset at his buggy's engine...
Crestfallen =P
Revenge of the RC buggys...
We then had our dinner @ Adam Road Food centre where we saw this...
"Retro buggy"
Don't belittle the buggy, juz "look at the matching pipes..." (think mocca muscleman advert)
Kai had mutton chop while i had ayam penyet.
Look at how nice the mutton chop looks... got heart-shaped sunny side up somemore!
Later it was back to Suntec Starbucks as we were meeting up with Dave, Matthew, Michael, Jacky and Taku there. As time was still early we shopped abit in CarreFour and i bought a pair slippers that i liked. Me and Kai were the first people there and Matthew was next. The full attendance was in when Dave and Taku arrived together. Kai and Taku were there gushing about RC planes and helicopters when Dave dropped a bombshell. "She" was joining us. In the first place i was abit apprehensive about meeting her for the first time since that incident happened but i would later brush it off as i know i'm past it already.
Nice quiet place to chill
I like...
Me new slippers
It matches my bike colors lol!
Soon after she arrived, we headed for Lavender Food Court as Dave wanted to get some food in his stomach. With his stomach filled, we then headed to punch card at Yishun dam. Turned out only Me, Dave and her were going... The rest all left... Was there only for awhile when Michael, leon and gang turned up. I left early (not bcos of her but i had to wake up early the next day for the A&W trip) to go home and get some rest.

Monday 19th May 2008
Woke up abit late today but woulda have been on time if i had not forgotten to top up my cashcard the night before. Met up with Roland, MR G, Kai, Guanwei at GP Petronas. The trip there was quite smooth sailing prolly due to the fact that it was work as usual for Malaysians as i dun think that vesak day is an offical holiday like in SG. Had a nice brunch and blasted straight home to sleep.
MR G caught on tape! Erm, i mean, on my memory stick!
A&W makes me feel good!
One satisfied customer
Wats A&W without Rootbeer and... WAFFLES!
Met up with Dave, Roland for dinner later at night @ AMK (HOR FAN!!! YUMMMM), afterwhich we then met up with GW at dam where they teased him mercilessly =D about his farm products...

AFTERTHOUGHT
About the weekend
All in all, a relatively good weekend, although i think my immune system has been severely damaged by the lack of sleep, feeling the effects of flu quite easily now, guess i'm kinda getting old, though i feel (and am still) damn young! =P
About seeing her
Seeing her for the first time after so long did not really stir up any emotion except for the mentioned apprehension. Didn't talk much, guess it will take some warming up again. She still looks tired though, must be still working those OTs. I can detect some emo in her eyes though, i wonder... Hope shes really happy about whats going on with the life and the new boy. Hope she will not make the same mistakes she has made in the past. I sincerely pray that she does look before she jumps as life is not only about her. Decisions you make affects others as well as yourself. I guess thats the only thing i can say, as not everyone can take it as easy as me, even i have some problems dealing with it so... But its behind me now, i'm now starting afresh!
About work
The conversion might be coming soon, perhaps this week as Aidil has already been asked to the HR office to be briefed on benefits of the Perm Staffs on Friday. So this week might be the time for the rest of us. Eagerly awaiting for that time to come!
